PERRY BEEKMAN
Perry Beekman is a guitarist, vocalist, and composer deeply rooted in the classic tradition of jazz. His repertoire features original compositions, as well as tunes from the Great American Songbook.
Perry’s love of jazz guitar began at an early age, when he first studied with the legendary Joe Monk. Joe instilled a lifelong passion for chord melody playing in Perry. He continued his studies with jazz greats Lennie Tristano, Sal Salvador, and Remo Palmier.
For the past 25 years Perry has been playing in clubs and at special events throughout New York City, and sharing his great enthusiasm for jazz guitar with his students. He is now based in Woodstock, N.Y.
