Jim has been a guitar builder for the last 10 years and has produced marvelous ergonomic instruments. Jim is also a heckuva a player and this year retired from building to return to playing in ernest.

This year, at the NAMM show, he gave an impromptu concert in Ken's room and had everyone mesmerized. Earlier that day, he recorded this piece on YoYo. It's just beautiful. We aren't sure what it's called, but we'll let you know when we know.

Starting January of 2012 Jim turned over the production of all Soloway Guitars to Doug Kauer of Kauer Guitars in Sacramento, CA. Jim continues to play a vital role as a consultant, confidant and advisor with Soloway Guitars and is always available at his website www.jimsoloway.com

This is one of the tunes that will be on my upcoming album. I have to thank Ken Parker and Dave Stephens for getting me access to this remarkable instrument. I've been recording with it for about a week and it will be featured on 4 or 5 songs on the CD.
