Ken and New Archtops in Rochester, NY -
May 13th, 2008 WRAP UP

Ken had just finished a new archtop (which we now know is named Spot) and brought it, along with Olive Branch and Mrs. Natural, for people to see in person on May 13th, 6pm, at Bernunzio's Uptown Music in Rochester, NY. Kinloch Nelson delivered an incredible set rotating between the guitars, performing in a casual, relaxed atmosphere. Chuck Campbell of the world renowned Campbell Brothers sat in with Kinloch as they played Hey Joe. During the song, every jaw in the house dropped. Seldom does this sort of interaction make its way into a public performance. Usually, perfromances this relaxed with the players just giving it their all are private jams. It was an amazing night. Ken addressed the crowd of about 30 players, talking about his motivations and techniques in building his new guitars. It was a magical night. Thanks SO much to John and Julie at Bernunzio's Uptown Music for hosting this great event.

Kinloch and Steve Greene recorded the guitars on Monday May 12th, and these recordings are available in the LISTEN section of this web site! Be sure to check out the three versions of Secret Love - a version played on each guitar with just about the same mic placement for each.
